Video: Troy Parrott signs off for MK Dons with impressive last goal

Troy Parrott’s loan spell with MK Dons came to an end earlier this evening after his side were beaten 2-1 on aggregate by Wycombe Wanderers in the League One play-off semi-final.

MK Dons came into the second leg already 2-0 down following the first match at Adams Park last week and gave his side the ideal start when he found the back of the net after 26 minutes.

The Republic of Ireland international found himself in space at the back post and did brilliantly well to loop his header over David Stockdale and into the far corner but his side were unable to add to their tally which saw Gareth Ainsworth’s side book their place at Wembley.

Parrott will now return to Tottenham Hotspur following the conclusion of his stint at Stadium MK having scored 10 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions, while also providing seven assists (transfermarkt).

Parrott will have the opportunity to train under Antonio Conte for the first time in pre-season and the possibility of some minutes in friendly fixtures.

The most realistic outcome is a loan move to a Championship club next season in the next stage of his development after having a solid campaign in League One.
