Tottenham Hotspur kicked off their Champions League with a hard-fought three points in north London.
There were ugly scenes in the away end following the final whistle when some pockets of the travelling Marseille fans were seen hurling fireworks into the Tottenham section of the stadium.
Riot police entered the away end to try to diffuse the situation and to stop the French thugs from trying to get to the Spurs fans with bottles and drinks also used as missiles.
Richarlison was Tottenham’s hero with the Brazilian heading in a brace during the second half to secure a 2-0 victory.
