Video: Van der Vaart picks his three best Spurs goals

Former Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart scored his fair share of important goals during his time in North London.

The midfielder did not just have a lovely left-foot but also had the knack of being at the right place at the right time, which helped him get on the end of chances.

He scored twenty-eight goals in the two seasons he spent at White Hart Lane, an impressive record for someone who was not an out and out striker (transfermarkt).

The former Dutch international has now revealed his top three favourite goals in a Spurs shirt, which involved finding the back of the net against Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Watch which ones Van der Vaart picked below:

I am surprised that his strike against Inter Milan and his second goal in the 2-1 win against Aston Villa at Villa Park in 2010 didn’t make the cut. The latter in particular came at the end of a fabulous counter-attack and the Dutchman put in a brilliant display on the night despite us being down to ten men.
