Tottenham Hotspur thought they had taken the lead halfway through the first forty five minutes against Brighton only to be disallowed by VAR.
The incident came from a nicely played ball over the top of the Seagulls defence by Harry Winks and Kane raced onto the ball and produced a cool first time finish.
Following a lengthy review from VAR, it was decided that Kane was fractionally offside when Winks had delivered his pass – by the width of an armpit.
It has been a relatively quiet first twenty five minutes from Tottenham with both sides looking slightly nervy in defence.
