Video: Victor Wanyama trades shirt for spaghetti with Spurs fan

Former Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama took up the offer from a Spurs fan in the crowd to trade his kit for spaghetti this week.

It has been nine years since Wanyama posted his infamous spaghetti tweet that went viral.

That was a running meme through the midfielder’s three and a half years at Spurs and the Kenyan was certainly happy to play along.

It looks as though the 30-year-old has neither lost his love for spaghetti nor his sense of humour since moving to Major League Soccer.

When a Spurs supporter in the crowd held up a banner reading ‘will trade spaghetti for kit’, Wanyama was only too happy to oblige.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is unfortunate that Victor’s Spurs career did not deliver what it promised due to the midfielder’s injury issues. Had we had a season or two more of the Dembele-Wanyama pivot when both were in their prime, I am certain that we would have won at least one league title.
