Tottenham and Manchester City met for the third time in a fortnight at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday as Guardiola’s men earned a 1-0 victory, to stay ahead of Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.
The game was a closely contested affair and in stark contrast to the game on Wednesday, both defences were fairly tight with chances few and far between.
City scored early in the game through Phil Foden and Tottenham squandered several opportunities in the first half to level the game.
The hosts dominated proceedings in the second half but failed to add to their lead.
As Tottenham had several injury problems in the middle of the park, Dele Alli was deployed in a deeper position, and the England international produced a couple of fantastic moments that left the likes of Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne look silly.
