Video: Watch James Maddison’s fun initiation song for Tottenham

James Maddison has taken to social media to share a clip of him performing his initiation song upon signing for Tottenham Hotspur, and let’s just say we hope his performances on the pitch are better than his vocals.

After years of tracking the playmaker, Tottenham finally made the move to sign Maddison this summer to add a spark of creativity to the Spurs midfield that has been lacking for a very long time.

It is hoped the 26-year-old can be the perfect fit for Ange Postecoglou‘s more attacking system and that Maddison can provide both goals and assists to help Spurs improve on a dismal campaign in 2022/23.

The former Leicester City man comes to North London with big expectations on his shoulders, but Maddison is not exactly short on confidence. That much is clear to see in his displays on the pitch over the last couple of years, with the kind of form that has earned him a place in the England set-up.

Off the pitch, Maddison exudes confidence too, it seems. The midfielder appears to be settling in perfectly at Tottenham, and is having plenty of fun by the looks of his initiation ceremony.

On TikTok, Maddison was asked to share his initiation song, and he duly delivered as he posted a clip of him performing the song I’m Yours by Jason Mraz.

Spurs Web Opinion

To be fair to Maddison, he doesn’t do a bad job at performing this song and it could have been far more embarrassing. He shouldn’t quit the day job, by any means, but fair play to him for getting up and having fun with this one.
