Video: Watch on-loan Spurs man score match-winner in huge derby game

Cameron Carter-Vickers smashed home the match-winner in the Old Firm derby on Sunday to help Celtic to a 2-1 win.

Carter-Vickers has hardly put a foot wrong during his loan spell at Celtic so far this season and unsurprisingly, the Glasgow giants are said to be keen on snapping up the centre-back on a permanent deal this summer (TEAMtalk).

The 24-year-old put in another solid display for the Bhoys at Ibrox on Sunday to help Ange Postecoglou’s side go six points clear of their local rivals at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Rangers took the lead in the third minute of the game through Aaron Ramsey but the away side equalised just minutes later through Tom Rogic.

Carter-Vickers then scored the match-winner just before halftime, with the on-loan Spurs man smashing home from close range after the ball fell to him kindly from a free-kick played into the box.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not sure that Carter-Vickers’ move to Celtic is as certain to go through this summer as some think.

The 24-year-old will certainly have several offers to choose from and I can potentially see a newly promoted Premier League club being interested in him.

While Celtic have an option to buy him, the Tottenham defender might have his head turned if there is interest from the Premier League.
