Cristian Romero caught Matt Doherty with a cheeky two-footed challenge in training on Tuesday.
The training session at Hotspur Way on Tuesday was open to media personnel as is the norm on the day before a European tie, and from the footage that has emerged, it is evident that the Spurs stars train with the same intensity as they play.
When the squad were doing rondos at the start of the session, things got quite competitive, with several players, including the likes of Ivan Perisic and Eric Dier who were seen flying into tackles.
In a video shared by Alasdair Gold, Romero was also seen attempting a cheeky two-footed challenge on Doherty but the right-back thankfully pulled out of the tackle and came away unscathed.

The Spurs players weren't holding back in the early rondo in training. Spot that little Cristian Romero moment with Clement Lenglet at the end with a cheeky two-footed jump in. Perisic, Dier, Richarlison, Lucas all flying into tackles. Dier almost caught Bryan Gil with one. pic.twitter.com/18qjcqZNoM

Spurs Web Opinion
When Lamela left the club last summer, some Spurs players may have breathed a sigh of relief at not having to be at the end of some hard tackles in training. However, another Argentine in Romero seems to have taken his compatriot’s place.
