Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly hijacked Arsenal’s deal for St-Etienne 18-year-old centre back William Saliba by bidding €30 and offering him back on loan to the French side (RMC).
Arsenal were apparently a few minor details from agreeing a deal with St-Etienne, after already reaching a five-year contract agreement with Saliba himself (Guardian).
Pochettino may be looking for a long-term replacement for Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, with Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth also waiting in the wings.
