Video: Watch Troy Parrott’s goal that won MK Dons’ Goal of the Season

Troy Parrott’s strike against AFC Wimbledon last month has clinched MK Dons’ Goal of the Season award.

Parrott has seemingly come of age at MK Dons this season after disappointing loan spells at Millwall and Ipswich Town last campaign.

The 20-year-old has managed nine goals and seven assists across all competitions for the League One side (Transfermarkt), displaying his creativity in the number ten role.

The Republic of Ireland international has expressed his determination to make it at Spurs in an interview with The Athletic last week.

Parrott will likely get an opportunity to impress Antonio Conte and his coaching staff when he returns to North London for pre-season.

The striker’s brilliant volley in the 1-1 draw against Wimbledon last month has been voted by the Dons fans as the Goal of the Season.

Parrott appears to be the sort of player who would get better when he is surrounded by better players. I expect him to be loaned out to a Championship club next term and I would not be surprised if he produces better numbers in the second tier than he has in League One this campaign.
