Jose Mourinho has come under a fair bit of criticism since arriving at Spurs, not just from pundits and parts of the media but also from elements of the Tottenham fan base.
The counter-attacking, defensively sound style of football the team is adapting to goes against the kind of football some Spurs fans have grown up watching their team play.
However, one can certainly not question the Portuguese coach’s results. In fact, the Lilywhites are currently top of the form table at the moment, having won four and drawn one of their last five games (Planet Football).
When asked about Tottenham’s improved form, the Spurs boss joked that Tottenham were ‘the champions of the last five matches’.

Even the harshest of Jose’s critics cannot question the fact that there have have been clear signs of progress since the restart. We look much more solid defensively and with Kane and Son showing signs of getting back to their best, we do look dangerous every time we commit players forward.
