Video: Wembley ground staff working like ants to fix the pitch ahead of Spurs v Man City

The Wembley groundstaff wasted no time on Sunday evening in preparing the pitch for Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash against Manchester City.

There were at least thirteen people on the pitch either mowing the grass or trying to remove the NFL logo and pitch markings following the game between the Philidelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

It is fair to say that the middle of the pitch already looks muddy and beaten up. Sunday’s American Football game was the third to be held at the national stadium in as many weeks.

Noticeable issues with the Wembley pitch began last month after Anthony Joshua used the stadium for his boxing world title defence against Alexander Povetkin.

It is expected that the NFL pitch markings may still be visible, including the NFL logo in the middle of the pitch despite the best efforts of the ground staff.
