Tottenham under-18s took on Southampton in the first-ever game at Tottenham’s brand new stadium.
The stadium has received a lot of negative media attention for the delays, and Spurs fans themselves have been frustrated with the long wait.
However, there is no doubting that despite all the problems the construction ran into, this is one of the best stadiums in world football.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino was the special guest at the half-time interval and opened about the struggles at Wembley.
He said the new stadium should help Spurs compete in the Premier League and Champions League.
He also applauded Daniel Levy’s vision and thanked the Spurs chairman for making a dream come true.
