Steven Bergwijn has described his Tottenham Hotspur debut as a dream come true after helping his side to a 2-0 victory against Manchester City.
The recent addition from PSV Eindhoven was named in Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven for the visit of second place City and broke the deadlock with a memorable goal.
Bergwijn brilliantly controlled the ball with his chest before unleashing a powerful volley beyond Ederson in front of the 17,500 single tier south stand.
After the encounter, the 22-year-old could hardly contain his delight and was named as Sky Sports’ Man of the Match.
