Tottenham thrashed Bournemouth 5-0 to climb to second place in the table. The boxing day game saw Pochettino rotate his team a little which meant that 21-year-old fullback Kyle Walker-Peters was handed his first Premier League start of the season.
The England U-21 international put in a mightily impressive performance, assisting all three of Tottenham’s goals in the first half.
Walker-Peters was a threat down the right-hand side all game and also showed great composure defensively in one v one situations.
Speaking after the game, the 21-year-old said that he was buzzing after the performance and the result.
The defender made an error that cost Spurs a goal, in his last start at the Camp Nou but based on today’s performance it looks like Walker-Peters has learned from that experience.
