Video: Which Spurs players trained and who was missing ahead of Marseille

The Tottenham players were back on the training pitch at Hotspur Way earlier this morning as part of their preparations match against Marseille in the Champions League tomorrow evening.

Tottenham thought they had sealed their place in the last sixteen of the competition when Harry Kane scored in stoppage time against Sporting CP, only for VAR to chalk off the goal which meant that their fate will be decided at the Stade Velodrome.

Antonio Conte’s will be through to the round of 16 if they avoid defeat. They will finish first if they win, or if both games are drawn with Sporting taking in Frankfurt. Marseille book their place in the round of 16 if they win. They will finish first if they win and the other game is drawn, which would condemn Spurs to the Europa League.

Among the players spotted being put through their paces at the club’s training ground were:

Fraser Forster, Hugo Lloris, Brandon Austin, Matt Doherty, Emerson Royal, Clement Lenglet, Ben Davies, Ryan Sessegnon, Djed Spence, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga, Rodrigo Bentancur, Oliver Skipp, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Harvey White, Pape Matar Sarr, Matthew Craig, Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, Bryan Gil, Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura, Harry Kane

There was no sign of Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski or Cristian Romero during the session.

The likes of Rodrigo Bentacur and Eric Dier only played around half hour at Bournemouth while Cristian Romero was rested completely which will hopefully add some freshness into the legs ahead of what is a massive game in Tottenham’s season and his absence from training is hopefully precautionary.
