Video: Wrexham striker reveals Spurs player is massive fan of Welsh club

Wrexham striker Elliot Lee has revealed that he has heard Son Heung-min is a massive fan of the Welsh club, which is why he and his teammates pulled out the South Korean’s goal celebration over the weekend.

Wrexham’s 2-0 win over Aldershot Town on Saturday meant that they maintained their place at the summit of the National League table as they look to return to League Two following the takeover by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

However, there were some eyebrows raised when the Wrexham players pulled out Son’s signature camera celebration after one of their goals.

Lee has now revealed that his friend Tom Lockyer, who plays for Wales, was informed by Ben Davies that Son is a big fan of the Welsh club, which is why the players decided to dedicate their goal to the Spurs star.

It sounds like Sonny very much remains a part of the Welsh mafia. With Wrexham having received massive media attention following the takeover by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, it looks as if the South Korean has been watching the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary on Netflix.
