Patrick Vieria’s proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur looks to have taken a turn for the worse.
Harry Redknapp, who is currently in Beijing with the Spurs squad as they prepare for the Barclays Asia Trophy admits that a deal has gone quiet.
“It’s gone very quiet to be honest,” Redknapp said. “When Patrick’s name was put to me a few weeks ago, saying he was interested in moving to Tottenham, I became interested in him.
“I’ve always thought he could bring something to the club. He’s a fantastic player. I still feel he has something to offer Tottenham.
“His adviser said Patrick was interested in coming. But since then it has gone very quiet.
“Whether it happens now, I can’t be sure. But I certainly would be interested in him if he became available.”
