Walcott focusing on White Hart Lane derby date

Theo Walcott wants Arsenal to put their Champions League exit behind them by focusing on Tottenham Hotspur.

Lionel Messi’s four-goal display demolished their European hopes and Tottenham will be looking to rub more salt in the wound with victory at White Hart Lane next Wednesday night.

With Tottenham looking to secure a place in next season’s Champions League, the north London derby fixture will have added incentive.

He said: “It is a great experience for us, we now have to look forward to the game against Spurs on Wednesday and have to come right back because we have still got the Premier League to have a shout at,” said Walcott.

“Tottenham away is a very big game – we just have to try and bounce back from this disappointment.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. why would spurs be concerned with any thing walcott said.Chances are he wont even be picked.and if his contribution was anything like last nights game at Barca he would be better keeping his gob shut,Before the game he was going to take them on his own.bloody deluded gooner!

  2. Walcott's mouth goes wayward, bit like how he plays. I am wary of an Arsenal backlash though as they have a nice rest before next Wednesday but would love nothing more than to end their Championship aspirations.

  3. I so hope lennon plays, and with Bale on the right, we will run through them, and walcott will not know what hit him.
