Tottenham Hotspur have finished above Arsenal in the Premier League table for four successive seasons.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will once again test themselves against the elite of European football in the Champions League while the Woolwich who finished in fifth will enjoy another season of Thursday night football in the Europa League.
Spurs have already spent big in the summer transfer window having broken their club record transfer fee with the £55million signature of Tanguy Ndombele (Guardian) which is more than Arsenal are said to only have £45million to spend on new signings (The Sun).
Arsenal’s back-up goalkeeper Emi Martinez helped to fill in the gaps of one of their chants “What do you think of Tottenham?”, to which Martinez replied with “Sh*t”.
It is brilliant that Tottenham continue to live in the heads of Arsenal fans and players rent free. While we are certainly on the up with a state of the art stadium, manager who is the envy of Europe along with a talented squad, Arsenal are still busy obsessing over us.
