Oliver Irow has announced himself in impressive fashion to Plymouth Argyle fans just a day after making a loan switch from Tottenham Hotspur.
Irow’s stock has grown considerably at Hotspur Way over the last couple of years, with the young forward being a regular in the club’s U21 set-up over recent years.
The 20-year-old had his first taste of senior football on loan at Mansfield Town in the second half of last season, managing four goals in 18 appearances for the Stags.
Spurs confirmed on Monday that Oliver Irow has returned to League One on loan for the 2026-27 season, this time signing for Plymouth Argyle, and he has made an immediate impact at his new club.

Plymouth took on newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City in the second round of the League Cup on Tuesday, with the Tottenham youngster going straight into the starting eleven.
It did not take long for Irow to announce himself to the supporters at Home Park, with the forward pulling one back for the home side on 21 minutes after Coventry had raced into a 2-0 early lead.
After getting on the end of an aerial through ball by former Tottenham academy midfielder Harvey White, Irow showed good feet to cut inside and unleash a shot, which found its way through several bodies and beat the Coventry goalkeeper.

Even beyond the goal, the Tottenham youngster, who started on the left, proved the home side’s main attacking outlet through Tuesday’s encounter.
He showed impressive pace and ball-carrying ability, beating his man on a few occasions, and getting some dangerous shots and crosses into the box.
The fact that the 20-year-old delivered this performance against the Premier League side will undoubtedly go a long way to ensuring that the left-wing spot remains his own.
The Tottenham academy graduate may get plenty of joy when he comes up against League One defences over the coming weeks.
