Watch: Eric Dier scores stunning free-kick in Tottenham’s training session in Madrid

Eric Dier has had a difficult season which has seen the midfielder’s game time limited by injury and illness.

Dier has been a mainstay in the Tottenham Hotspur midfield for the past few seasons but has had to watch on from the side lines for large portions of the current campaign.

In December, he had surgery to remove his appendix following the draw against Barcelona and did not play again until late January when he missed a penalty in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

He also missed nearly the whole of February with tonsillitis and picked up a hip injury upon is return on duty with England that saw him miss a further month.

The 25-year-old is now back to full fitness and scored a stunning free-kick during Tottenham’s session at Real Madrid’s training ground this morning.

With form like this, should Dier get a chance to feature in the final against Liverpool then he surely must be given the chance to take a free-kick ahead of Kieran Trippier and Christian Eriksen.
