Erik Lamela has looked sharp during Tottenham Hotspur’s three pre-season matches which will fill Spurs fans with hope ahead of the new campaign.
The £25.7million signing from Roma (BBC) has now been in North London for nearly six years and has failed to live up to hype generated around him when he was a 21-year-old in Serie A.
Injuries have certainly played their part in limiting Lamela’s effectiveness in seasons gone by, however he has certainly hit the ground running during Tottenham’s tour of the Far East and followed it up with an impressive display this evening against Real Madrid.
The winger showed his talent with a beautiful mazy run in the first half of the Audi Cup match when he took on a number of Madrid players at the Allianz Arena.
