Watch: Harry Kane scores at the new Spurs stadium for the very first time

Yesterday turned out to be a very memorable day in the life of Harry Kane.

The striker headed to Buckingham Palace in the morning to collect his MBE for services to football after winning the golden boot at the World Cup.

The 25-year-old scored six goals during the competition – including two penalties – in Russia last summer, notching a hat-trick against Panama, two against Tunisia, and one in the last-16 victory over Colombia.

After receiving the accolade from the Duke of Cambridge, Kane made the trip to North London to visit the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Kane’s teammates had earlier trained on the lush green playing surface, but he did not want to miss out and held his own session with members of the backroom staff.

The star striker put on a stunning display of finishing in front of goal, which is the first time he has put the ball in the back of the net at the new stadium and it certainly won’t be the last.
