Watch: Lloris admits Spurs are not in a comfortable situation at present

Hugo Lloris has described the last few months at Tottenham Hotspur as quite complicated.

A poor start to the season which saw Spurs drop to fourteenth place in the Premier League along with humiliation in cup competition at the hands of Bayern Munich and Colchester United saw Mauricio Pochettino lose his job.

The Spurs captain insists that there is ambition within the club as they look to push for a fifth successive top four finish.

Lloris, who recently returned to action following the dislocated elbow he suffered at the start of October believes that Spurs are heading into the most important period of the season when they return from the winter break with a trip to Aston Villa next Sunday.

Tottenham are just four points behind Chelsea in fourth with Lloris insisting that qualification for next season’s Champions League is in their sights.

The North Londoners are also fighting on two other fronts in the Champions League and the FA Cup as they look to win their first competitive trophy since 2008.
