Following Tottenham Hotspur’s disappointing Champions League defeat to Liverpool last night, Lucas Moura could not help but let his emotions get the better of him on the pitch.
The Brazilian, who was Tottenham’s hero in the semi final against Ajax was in the eyes of some supporters harshly dropped for the European showpiece in Madrid with Mauricio Pochettino instead deciding to start with Harry Kane, who had little effect on the tie following his return from an ankle injury.
You can only help but feel sorry for Moura, who gave everything in Amsterdam to keep our European dream alive, but was unable to help change the course of the game against Jurgen Klopp’s side when he came on with just 24 minutes remaining in place of Harry Winks.
