‘Watch out for Tottenham’ – Italian outlets suggest Spurs can afford midfielder

Italian publications are continuing to back Tottenham Hotspur to make a move for Albert Gudmundsson, with multiple outlets now naming Spurs as the main threat to the various Serie A sides after the Genoa star.

Over the last month, Spurs Web has brought to you a number of reports from Italy talking up the North London club’s interest in Gudmundsson, and the speculation shows no signs of dissipating.

A couple of more websites have now reported on Tottenham’s pursuit of the 26-year-old, including ASRomaLive.it, who suggest that while Roma are keeping close tabs on the Genoa star, they are wary of Ange Postecoglou’s side making a move.

This is because Spurs are said to be showing ‘strong interest’ in the player and would not have any issues in meeting the €35m (£30m) price that has been put on the Iceland international’s head.

Tottenham are very keen on Gudmundsson

Something similar has also been reported by Tutto Juve, who claim that the Giallorossi have been joined by Juventus and Inter Milan in the race for Gudmundsson’s signature.

However, the report says that these clubs must ‘watch out for Tottenham’, who have identified the attacking midfielder as someone who can strengthen their attack.

The publication adds that not only can Spurs meet Genoa’s asking price but they also have a good relationship with the Italian side after negotiating the Radu Dragusin and Djed Spence deals in January.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Tottenham are keen on Gudmundsson, they should not have any issues getting the deal over the line. Not only are the Lilywhites on good terms with Genoa but they would be able to blow the likes of Juve, Roma and Inter out of the water financially, both in terms of the fee and wages.
