Watch: Souness blunder; apparently Tottenham have expanded into two teams

Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying their best ever start to a Premier League campaign, but could there be an underlying secret behind all these impressive stats.

Perhaps it could explain why we are seeing records broken in the Premier League, but shoddy performances in the Champions League.

It is almost as if Tottenham are fielding two separate teams, one in domestic football, and one in European competitions.

However, one of the masterminds behind this secret operation, Graham Souness, has finally let slip.

Tottenham Hotspur have actually branched out into two separate clubs, known as Tottenham and Spurs.

According to Souness, both Spurs and Tottenham will take on Arsenal in the coming months. Of course, this is a complete joke, and in fact poor Graham just got a little muddle when featuring as a pundit on SkySports, but that doesn’t make it any less funny.

Souness is trying to make the point that Arsenal haven’t played many big teams yet. He attempts to list the big six teams the Gunners will face in upcoming weeks, but only manages ‘Man United, Spurs and… Tottenham.’
