Tim Sherwood was critical of the performances of the Tottenham Hotspur midfield duo of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli after the loss to Ajax.
Last night’s defeat was the second in the space of a few days at the club’s new stadium and sees Mauricio Pochettino’s side looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit next Wednesday night.
Sherwood, who played for Spurs in the midfield role during his career along with a brief stint managing the club appeared as a guest on Sky Sports’ The Debate show last night.
He also pinpointed Fernando Llorente’s inclusion in attack as a reason to why Spurs aren’t playing with fluidity.
Spurs fans will be hoping they their side certainly have a better opening half in Amsterdam compared to the first 45 minutes in North London, where it could have easily been more than 1-0.
You can watch what Sherwood had to say, below.
"There was a lot of Tottenham players who didn't play well. Christian Eriksen, he had a bad night. Dele Alli was non existent."
Tim Sherwood has his say on that Spurs performance.
