Mason Melia continues to impress for St Patrick’s Athletic, and there is plenty to be excited about for Tottenham fans ahead of his arrival in North London in a few months.
Spurs signed Mason Melia from St Patrick’s Athletic for £1.6m plus add-ons back in February, which is a record transfer fee for a player signed from the League of Ireland.
The centre-forward, who is considered one of the best young talents in Irish football, was loaned back to St Pat’s and will link up with Tottenham Hotspur in January of 2026.
Melia has made his mark in the Europa Conference League this term, and the forward has been on fire domestically, having managed 15 goals and four assists across 43 appearances in all competitions so far.

Watch Mason Melia’s latest goal ahead of his Tottenham switch
The striker, who turned 18 last month, is continuing to showcase his quality in the League of Ireland, and his latest strike served as further confirmation of his technical quality and goalscoring instinct.
Melia scored the only goal of the game for St Pat’s as they played out a 1-1 draw with Waterford.
The on-loan Tottenham man was found with a low cross into the box, but rather than attempting a first-time finish, he showed excellent close control to round the goalkeeper and tap the ball into an empty net.
Spurs will soon have another outstanding teenage starlet
Tottenham have no shortage of young talent coming through the ranks, with Mikey Moore perhaps being the one who fans are most excited about.
Luca Williams-Barnett is continuing to catch the eye for the Under-21s, and the club will soon welcome the young Irishman.
According to reports, Spurs had to fend off interest from around 60 clubs across Europe to secure Melia’s services, and Tottenham fans will be eagerly waiting to see what he can do in a Lilywhite shirt.
