‘We are all disappointed’ – Stellini provides Spurs team news update vs Leicester

Assistant manager Cristian Stellini has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Leicester City press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.

Stellini was on once media duties once again today in place of Antonio Conte who is currently recovering from surgery after having his gallbladder removed in Italy last Wednesday and returned to England only yesterday.

Today marks Stellini’s third consecutive outing in front of the press pack, having also fielded the questions ahead of the matches against Preston North End and Manchester City.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Stellini has revealed that only Hugo Lloris is sidelined and the remainder of the squad are available.

He told Football.London: “Everyone else is available for the next game. We are all disappointed about Hugo. However, we have a good experienced goalkeeper in Fraser Forster, with a lot of experience in the Champions League.

“We say to Hugo ‘see you soon’. He needs a good recovery, maybe 5-7 weeks.”
