‘We are raring to go’ – claims Manchester United player ahead of Spurs clash

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira told Sky Sports that are well prepared ahead of the Premier League return this week.

Spurs will begin the resumption of their top flight campaign against Manchester United on Friday, which is set to be a crucial game for Champions League football.

Mourinho’s men currently find themselves in 8th place, four points behind Manchester United in 5th place with both sides looking to close the gap on Chelsea in 4th.

However, the Brazilian midfielder has claimed that the United players are looking sharp in training ahead of their long-awaited return to action in North London.

In an interview with Sky Sports, he said:

“We’ve been waiting a long time without real answers. As soon as we knew that the season was going to start again, we were very hyped and wanted to play.

“And now we have just a few days to go to play the game, it’s like everybody’s very sharp in training, everybody pays a lot of attention so we’re very eager that the season starts again.

“It’s very important, the game against Tottenham. It will be a very difficult one because it’s the first game.

“It feels like when you come back from pre-season, the match rhythm is not 100 percent yet, but we know it’s going to be hard for them as well.

“We’re going to make it a very tough job and we want to win because we have a Champions League spot to go for and we have the FA Cup and the Europa League, so we’re going full out in these two months really.

“We just have to push as a squad and make it the best two months we can get.”

Spurs will welcome Manchester United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday, June 19, and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
