Kevin Danso, who was forced to endure a horrid week off the pitch, has sent a message to the Tottenham fans after the club’s 1-0 win over Wolves.
The Austrian’s error cost the Lilywhites two crucial points against Brighton last week, and the centre-back seemed distraught at the end of the game.
Danso was subsequently targeted with racist abuse for his mistake, and Tottenham decided to take a clear public stance with the centre-back.
The 27-year-old did his talking on the pitch at the Molineux Stadium, helping his side keep a clean sheet and register their first league win of the calender year.

Kevin Danso thanks Tottenham fans for their unwavering support
Following the side’s 1-0 win at the Midlands, the former Lens man took to social media to thank the Spurs faithful for sticking with the team at an extremely difficult time.
Danso urged the supporters to continue believing and admitted that the players cannot secure the club’s Premier League status without their backing.
The centre-back wrote on Instagram: “One down, four more to go. Your unwavering support means everything, hearing you behind us until the final whistle gives us the strength to keep pushing every game. Thank you for always standing with us. We stay together, keep believing, and keep fighting. We can only do this together”
Roberto De Zerbi has made a clear statement about Danso’s future
De Zerbi was very complimentary of Danso’s performance against Brighton, and insisted that he did not mind his late mistake as the 27-year-old had shown bravery on the ball.
The Tottenham boss has confirmed that Danso will be at the club next season, describing the centre-back as a ‘very good player’.
With Cristian Romero potentially out for the season, the Austrian international will undoubtedly have a huge role to play if Spurs are to pull off a great escape.
