Heung-min Son has claimed Tottenham should not just be satisfied with playing in the Champions League and insists the club still has plenty of of room to improve next season.
Spurs concluded their campaign on the strongest possible note with a commanding 5-0 win at Norwich City on the final day of the Premier League campaign to secure a top four berth just two points ahead of rivals Arsenal.
The thrashing at Carrow Road also saw Spurs front man Son cap off an excellent individual season by equalling the 23 goals scored by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to ensure the Golden Boot award was shared (BBC Sport).
While the South Korean and his teammates will be relishing to get going in the Champions League, he believes Spurs have a lot more to give in the new campaign and insists the club can get even better with a more consistent base.
Son told Sky Sports (via Football Daily): “I think we can still do better because I believe in the team and I know the guys have the quality.
“I believe so much in this team but I think we should not be happy [with fourth place in the Premier League]. I mean, [we are] happy to be in the Champions League but we could do much better than what we did because it was up and down, especially this season.
“We need to prepare really well in pre-season and I can’t wait to get started next season.”

Tottenham have had their good and bad moments across the campaign but they saved a strong run of form for the crucial games towards the end.
Conte has already improved Spurs massively and that was with limited resources, so that can be built upon with a full summer transfer window under his belt.
Players like Son need to be supported with a cast of similar quality and hopefully, that can be achieved when the market opens.
