It has been a poor first half display by Tottenham Hotspur at Carrow Road as they trail Norwich City 1-0 at the interval.
As expected, Jose Mourinho made a number of changes to the line up that started against Brighton on Thursday with Christian Eriksen and Tanguy Ndombele coming in for the suspended duo Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks, while Giovani Lo Celso and Juan Foyth replaced Lucas Moura and Davinson Sanchez.
Some Spurs fans were quite excited about the line up when it was announced as the team had a lot of attacking promise. However, the performance in the first forty five minutes has been extremely flat with the home side being first to almost every loose ball.
The goal came from a mistake by Foyth as the Argentine gave the ball away in midfield leaving the defence exposed. Teemu Pukki had the ball in the net again towards the end of the half but VAR intervened to rule the Norwich striker offside which spared Tottenham’s blushes.
Some Spurs fans were far from pleased with the first half performance and were angered that the team were making a habit of starting matches poorly.
Many even admitted that the home side had been unfortunate to have Pukki’s goal ruled out for offside.

Spurs Web Opinion
Mourinho’s decision to match up Norwich’s system by playing three at the back with two wing backs hasn’t quite worked. Neither Aurier nor Sessegnon are offering us any penetration outwide and Ndombele is often left on his own to win the lose balls in midfield with neither Eriksen nor Le Celso being too bothered to put their foot in.
