“We can’t hide” – Dele calls for improvement after dropped points at Burnley

Dele Alli has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur made life difficult for themselves against Burnley after a slow start to the match at Turf Moor.

The Clarets dominated the first half after a sub-standard display from Jose Mourinho’s side saw them outplayed and outmuscled, especially in midfield.

Dele stressed the importance for the players to match the same fight and enthusiasm of their opponents with the talent of the Spurs squad proving not to be enough to warrant taking all three points.

The 23-year-old admitted that the club are currently in a tough period of form having failed to win any of their last five matches but fully believes they can turn around their fortunes.

Spurs face a trip to Germany on Tuesday to take on RB Leipzig in the second leg of the Champions League round of sixteen clash where they need to overturn a 1-0 scoreline to remain in the competition.
