‘We decided’ – Juventus chief issues transfer update on Spurs-linked Paulo Dybala

Pavel Nedved has played down talks of Paulo Dybala leaving Juventus this summer amidst reported interest from Tottenham.

Dybala is well into the final year of his contract with the Old Lady and is currently set to become a free agent at the end of the season (TransferMarkt).

Juventus intended to speak with the Argentina international about the matter, but recently postponed talks until a later date (CalcioMercato).

That has potentially left the door open for suitors such as Tottenham, with Sport reporting Antonio Conte’s side have already spoken to Dybala thanks to the Paratici Juventus connections.

But despite the speculation, Juve chief Nedved says the Italian side are not concerned about losing Dybala for nothing and any discussions over his future will happen in due course.

He said (via Fabrizio Romano): “We’re not worried about losing Dybala on a free transfer.

“We’ve five players out of contract in June – and we decided to discuss their contracts later this year, and they’ve accepted.”

Dybala has scored 12 goals in 28 appearances for Juventus this term, but has recently been absent from the side with a hip problem (Transfermarkt).

No one really knows what will happen with Dybala this summer but there will be guaranteed from an array of clubs.

He will make an impact wherever he goes and Conte would definitely welcome a player of his calibre to Spurs, but the problem would be fitting him in with the front line fairly packed.
