‘We dug deep’ – Some Spurs players take to Twitter after win against West Brom

Harry Kane, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Toby Alderweireld, Moussa Sissoko and Matt Doherty all took to social media to express their delight at being able to come away with all three points at The Hawthorns yesterday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho admitted before the game (Sky Sports) that he expected a difficult match despite West Brom languishing in the relegation zone and that is exactly how it proved.

The Baggies defended resolutely and gave as good as they got for the majority of the encounter but the away side took control of proceedings in the final 20 minutes after Giovani Lo Celso, Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius came on to add to the existing firepower.

Just when it looked like it was not going to be Tottenham’s afternoon, Kane popped up with a neat header in the 88th minute to meet Doherty’s dinked cross to give the Lilywhites all three points.

The goal was Kane’s 150th in the Premier League and he took to social media to express his delight at reaching the milestone.

Here’s how some of the Tottenham players reacted after securing their third league win in a row heading into the international break:
