‘We got robbed’ – Some fans react to Spurs’ 1-1 draw at Southampton

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to share their reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s frustrating 1-1 draw against Southampton this afternoon.

Antonio Conte’s side found themselves behind after 25 minutes when James Ward-Prowse fired a curling effort beyond Hugo Lloris with Tottenham struggling to create anything in the final third of the pitch.

The breakthrough came for the visitors when Heung-min Son was brought down inside the penalty area by Mohammed Salisu, who received his second yellow card of the match and was sent off.

Harry Kane dispatched the penalty with a typical emphatic finish into the top corner to pull his side level.

Kane thought he had his second of the game seven minutes into the second half when a superb ball over the top of the Saints defence from Harry Winks fell to the feet the forward took a brilliant first touch before firing the ball into the bottom corner and his celebration was short-lived when VAR harshly decided he was offside by the finest of margins.

Spurs can also feel harshly done when referee Anthony Taylor adjudged Matt Doherty to have fouled Forster after the goalkeeper dropped the ball with the Irishman having put the ball in the net.

Here is a selection of reaction from some fellow Spurs fans.
