‘We gotta follow up’ – Harry Kane focuses on beating West Ham after smashing PL record

Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to express his delight at breaking the record for the most away goals in Premier League history.

The 28-year-old’s second half strike against Brighton and Hove Albion yesterday evening took him one ahead of Wayne Rooney’s tally of 94, with the Tottenham player managing to do it in 104 fewer top flight games.

Rodrigo Bentancur’s defence splitting pass saw Kane manage to stay onside and race through before finishing with his left foot to secure his side a 2-0 win at the Amex Stadium.

Kane revealed that he was proud to be the new record holder and has vowed to continue to score many more.

First up for the England captain is the visit of West Ham United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday which could be a pivotal game in the race for a top four finish and the player himself stressing the importance of taking all three points against their London rivals ahead of the international break.
