‘We miss him’ – Some fans react to photo of departed player still wearing Spurs gear

Some Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react to a picture of former player Erik Lamela, in which he was still wearing Spurs branded clothing. 

Lamela, 29, saw a stint lasting eight years at Spurs come to an end in the summer after completing a move to LaLiga side Sevilla. 

Since the move to Spain, the Argentine winger has scored four goals and notched one assist, with two of those tallies coming in his debut for the club against Rayo Vallecano in August. 

But despite no longer being associated with the N17 side, Lamela appears to have chosen not to completely forget his time in North London after he uploaded a photo to Instagram of himself donning a Spurs t-shirt. 

Some fans appeared to love the ex-Spurs man’s affection for the club by reacting to the post on Twitter, while one user felt the act would annoy current employers Sevilla.

Lamela had a turbulent number of seasons at Spurs, but it was clear to see just how much he cared for the club – especially by giving his all out on the pitch. The picture shows he holds Spurs close to his heart still, even if he is with another team.
