Jarrod Bowen has now revealed the mood inside the West Ham United camp following their latest defeat to Newcastle United, as Tottenham have a chance to end the relegation fight.
West Ham United will surely have their televisions tuned in for Tottenham Hotspur’s clash against Chelsea on Tuesday night.
The meeting is huge for Spurs, and the result could also have major implications for the Hammers, who know that a Tottenham defeat would take the relegation battle to the final day of the season.
Spurs, however, still know their fate remains firmly in their own hands, with just a point needed from their final two games to secure safety.
With just one game remaining before the 2025/26 season comes to an end, West Ham will be hoping for a helping hand from the sides set to face Tottenham.

Jarrod Bowen sends Tottenham message ahead of Chelsea clash
Club captain Jarrod Bowen has now opened up on the mood inside the Hammers camp following Nuno Espirito Santo’s side’s latest defeat to Newcastle United.
The loss leaves West Ham two points behind Tottenham, with their survival hopes no longer fully in their own hands heading into the final game of the campaign.
Bowen admitted the Hammers are clinging to hope and explained that everyone at the club will be watching closely when Spurs face Chelsea, while also acknowledging that West Ham have contributed to their own problems this season.
Speaking to BBC Sport, he said: “There’s a game on Tuesday night where, of course, we need Tottenham to lose the game. So until then, we have to hold on to what we have. We are two points adrift. We know we’re holding on by a small thread. But we’re still holding on, and that’s the only thing that we can do.
“Of course, we do not want to be in this situation. We wanted to win today and be a point clear. But ultimately we’re two points behind. We have to see how the result goes on Tuesday.
“We’ve almost created this mess that we’re in. So, for me, I’ll be watching. I think you have to be big enough to watch it and accept whatever happens is going to happen.
“It’s not the outcome that anyone has wanted associated with this club. But, like I said, we’re still holding on and hopefully they lose on Tuesday night. Then it gives us a chance going into the final day, where again you need things to turn and go in your favour. But we can only focus on ourselves and the results.”
Tottenham must stay focused against Chelsea
Tottenham must also focus on themselves heading into Tuesday’s clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Lilywhites have the opportunity to end the relegation battle with at least a draw against Chelsea, which would remove any final-day nerves.

However, the Blues will not make life easy for Spurs, with Chelsea also pushing to secure a European place. Interim boss Calum McFarlane made that clear with his warning ahead of the meeting between the two sides, and Tottenham will need to be fully focused heading into such a decisive encounter.
