‘We truly waste this guy’ – Some fans react to impressive assist from Spurs player last night

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been taking to social media to share their reaction to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s impressive assist last night.

The 26-year-old was named in Denmark’s starting eleven for their 2-0 World Cup qualifying win against Scotland in Copenhagen.

On fourteen minutes, the Spurs midfielder picked up the ball on the left-hand side of the pitch in Scotland’s half and whipped in a cross to the back post which saw right-back Daniel Wass take advantage of poor positional play and defensive awareness Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney’s to head his side into the lead.

Hojbjerg also impressed during the Dane’s Euro 2020 campaign which saw him named as part of the team of the tournament, which was selected by UEFA’s team of Technical Observers – a panel which included former Tottenham players Robbie Keane and Steffen Freund.

The former Southampton man has continued his form at club level this season, forming an impressive midfield partnership with Oliver Skipp.
