Tottenham Hotspur wasted the chance to break back into the top four last night after they lost at home to reigning champions, Liverpool.
Spurs conceded just before the half-time interval and things went from bad to worse in the second half when Alexander-Arnold added to Firmino’s opener.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg did manage to pull one back for Spurs to make it 2-1 but Sadio Mane quickly ended any hopes of a fightback.
Tottenham now sit in sixth in the Premier League and Hojbjerg claimed that the team was half a step too slow at times, adding that they needed to show a reaction against Brighton if they want to kick on and become one of the best.
