‘We will listen’ – Tottenham star’s agent admits player is open to leaving

Juan Foyth’s agent, Claudio Curti has admitted that the Argentine will be willing to move to Inter Milan this summer if the Italian giants were interested in his services.

There were some big expectations on Foyth’s shoulders coming into the campaign after he had a solid finish to the last campaign and was one of Argentina’s most consistent defenders in last summer’s Copa America.

However, this season has not gone according to plan for the 22-year-old right from the start.

He picked an ankle injury in a pre-season match at Bayern Munich which ruled him out for the first few months of the campaign and has hardly featured since the arrival of Jose Mourinho.

Reports have indicated that the defender has already played his last game for the Lilywhites and is set to be sold this summer (Football Insider).

His agent has already admitted that he is to hold talks with Spurs over his client’s future at the end of the season (talkSPORT).

Curti has now revealed that Inter wanted to sign Foyth before Tottenham snapped him up in 2017 and that the Spurs star would be willing to listen to offers from Antonio Conte’s side.

He told Passione Inter: “Yes, Inter looked at him before he signed for Tottenham [in 2017].

“Currently, Inter are not interested. If there is any interest in the future, we will listen.

“Juan can play at a club as big as Inter. He has the personality, technical qualities.”

While I would prefer Foyth to be loaned out rather than sold, it does seem like his agent is angling for a permanent move away from North London for his client. Besides, we also have to raise transfer funds for our targets this summer. So, I would not be surprised if we decided to move the 22-year-old on permanently.
