‘Well advanced’ – Fabrizio Romano provides update on Spurs and Richarlison

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham’s negotiations with Richarlison on personal terms are now at an advanced stage.

Richarlison’s proposed move from Everton to Spurs has seemingly sped up over the last few days, with Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade reporting on Tuesday that the two clubs are making progress in talks over a £60m deal.

The Mirror subsequently revealed that Everton run the risk of incurring sanctions from the Premier League if they do not balance the books by selling Richarlison before the end of the accounting year on June 30.

The report added that Daniel Levy is aware of the Toffees’ financial distress and that the Spurs chairman will push a hard bargain over the next 24 hours.

Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Spurs are close to agreeing on personal terms with Richarlison ahead of a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The journalist added that talks between the two clubs are expected to continue this week.

Based on the various reports over the last few days, it seems like the Richarlison deal will be completed within the next week. At this point, it looks likely to be a straight cash deal rather than a part-exchange one despite Spurs seemingly offering the Toffees several of their fringe players.
