‘We’ll fight for titles’ – Richarlison makes Tottenham trophy claim after sealing transfer

Richarlison has claimed Tottenham have all the tools needed to win silverware under Antonio Conte after joining the club from Everton.

After helping the Toffees stay in the Premier League last season, the Brazil international sealed a £50 million move to North London which could rise to £60m with add-ons (The Guardian).

The move sees him become the fifth signing of the summer for Antonio Conte alongside the arrivals of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma and most recently Clement Lenglet.

Tottenham will be hoping Richarlison is able to inspire the side from the front and towards tangible success next season – something which has been absent from the club for over 14 years.

And ahead of a fresh slate to make that possible, the 25-year-old admits Spurs currently have all the pieces necessary to win a trophy going forward.

Richarlison said (via Football.London): “Antonio Conte is putting together a great team to be able to compete in all competitions. I think we’ll be very strong in all competitions and we’ll fight for titles.

“The coach will prepare us very well for this because there are many competitions and now we have to be focused as much as possible. So I think we have everything to make great competitions, and in the end, we have everything to lift a trophy.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have a world-class manager in Conte and are listening to his thoughts and advice as they build a competitive team.

The lack of silverware has been a big problem for the club in recent periods but they have the chance to put an end to that with the players, coaches and facilities setting in place.
