‘We’ll see’ – Conte asked if he needs new Spurs forward signing in January

Antonio Conte did not rule out the possibility of signing another forward in the January transfer window when asked in his press conference this afternoon.

The Italian is currently without Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski in his Spurs squad, and even admitted that he is worried the latter may not return until after the World Cup (Football London).

Conte was forced to switch to a 3-5-2 against Manchester United due to his lack of options up front, and the Spurs boss was asked today whether he could dip into the January transfer market for a Kulusevski alternative.

However, Conte simply stated that he will wait and see what the injury situation is like when the clubs break for the World Cup in November, then Tottenham can decide whether new players are needed in January.

For now, the Tottenham boss appears focused on the job at hand, which is getting through the next seven fixtures with as many wins as possible.

He said (Football London): “Now we need to finish this period.

“You have important injuries and you need to face the situation in the best possible way then we’ll see until the last game in November and then we’ll see the situation and if we need to do something or continue in the same way.

“Now we need to be focused and it’s not easy this period and I ask our fans to be close to us.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

I expect Tottenham to bring in one or two reinforcements in January as they did last year, just to top the squad up. It is very likely that injuries will be picked up over the World Cup, so it could be a very interesting January window for once.
