‘We’ll see if we have time to build what we want’ – Poch reacts to draw with ominous message

Tottenham Hotspur are now down to 12th in the Premier League after falling to another draw at home, this time to newly-promoted Sheffield United.

Spurs have just three wins from 12 Premier League matches this season, with a total of just 14 points from a possible 36.

The club have also dropped the second-most points in the league from winning positions, with this happening in their last three Premier League games.

Spurs were one-nil up against Liverpool, Everton, and Sheffield United, but managed only two points from those games instead of nine.

This comes just a matter of months after the Lilywhites made it to the Champions League Final in Madrid against Liverpool.

Fast forward to November and the Reds are top of the table, with Spurs lagging closer to relegation than the top four.

Pochettino will need to turn things around quickly to save his club’s season, although his message today sounded rather ominous, as he used the phrase ‘we’ll see if we have time’.

Pochettino said (Football London): “I think you can see that yes we need to find the balance. We are building a team during the season, while competing in the Champions League and Premier League, the toughest league in the world, and always that is dangerous, this type of situation can happen. You expect better results than you get. Of course, we are in a process to build and we’ll see if we have time to build what we want.”
